A training program aimed at improving the professional competence of individual care workers.Duration of the training program 9 credits (160 hours) The purpose of the training program is to prepare an individual care specialist who is able to provide complex services to disabled and elderly persons in their homes, social services, social care and other social institutions according to the identified need; to create the prerequisites for motivation, receptiveness to innovation, healthy lifestyle, to develop positive attitudes towards the change of advanced social services and nursing technologies.

Topic name Family conference method and its application	Brief description of the topic During the training, the method of family conference and its application will be introduced, the ability to apply the family conference method by analyzing simulated situations will be developed, reflecting on the stages of the individual method of social work, the roles of the social worker and the ethical issues that arise.
Topic name Stress and burnout in social work	Brief description of the topic During the training, knowledge about stress will be provided, the ability to identify stressors, recognize signs of stress, apply preventive measures and stress coping strategies will be developed.
Topic name Communication with social work clients	Brief description of the topic During the training, knowledge will be provided about the influence of communication on the process of solving the client's problems, the importance of verbal and non-verbal communication in social work.The ability to establish and maintain a relationship based on mutual trust with the client, to evaluate non-verbal communication between the client and his environment, to properly ask questions, to use paraphrasing and to listen actively will be developed.
Topic name Standard of safe lifting of the patient	Brief description of the topic During the training, the standard of safe occurrence, methods of safe lifting, safety requirements for lifting patients by hand and the use of auxiliary means will be introduced.The ability to safely and ergonomically move patients with hands, aids and equipment will be developed, to assess the patient's ability to cooperate in the situational change, to properly prepare the environment and clothing.
Topic name The main methods of social work and their application in practice, the process of solving the client's problem	Brief description of the topic During the training, the methods of social work (individual, group, community), the process of organizing social work (assessment, planning, provision of support, evaluation of results), the boundaries of the competences of the social worker's assistant will be introduced, the abilities to apply the method of individual social work will be developed, simulated situations will be analyzed and the stages of the individual method of social work, the activities of the social worker will be reflected, the roles of the social worker will be analyzed, and emerging ethical issues.

Topic name Psychological crisis	Brief description of the topic During the training, knowledge will be given about the main features of the psychological crisis, unadaptical ways of responding to crisis experiences, the most common mechanisms of psychological defense.The ability to recognize and provide appropriate assistance to a client in a crisis situation will be developed.
Topic name First aid during extreme conditions	Brief description of the topic The principles of first aid will be introduced. Will be able to recognize and provide first aid in case of choking, coryxia, electrical discharge, anaphylaxis, chest pain, heart failure, fainting, stroke, convulsions.
Topic name Suicide prevention	Brief description of the topic During the training, knowledge of the risk of suicide, presuicidal syndrome and its recognition will be provided.The ability to provide appropriate assistance to a client prone to suicide, to establish contact with a person at risk of suicide, to provide emotional support will be developed.

Topic name Understanding and creating a customer's social history	Brief description of the topic During the training, it will be taught to create a holistic picture of the client, to develop an awareness of the importance of knowing the patient's life history and the problems that arise for him, to develop the ability to collect and systematize information about the client by creating a complete picture of the client and his environment, without which a high-quality assistance process that meets the expectations of customers is impossible

Topic name Nursing procedures that alleviate the patient's condition	Brief description of the topic During the training, nursing procedures that alleviate the patient's condition, the use of personal protective and hygienic measures in nursing procedures will be introduced.It is taught to perform nursing actions in the sputum, vomiting, diarrhea, urinary incontinence of the patient.It is taught to help the patient using a toilet chair and other aids, to feed and take a bason and a container for urination.There will be an introduction to artificial body openings (urostoma, gastrostoma, intestinal stoma) and their care, stoma collectors and their types, the procedure for changing the stoma collector.
